There is no better way to become actively involved in government and to serve fellow citizens than by becoming a member of one of these important panels. The Board of Supervisors appoints members to more than a score of local and regional boards, most of which are listed below.

Ag Board

Description: Develop & implement a continuing plan to enhance local agriculture & other industries.

Economic Development Authority

Bedford County provides numerous opportunities for involvement in local programs. A number of subcommittees, task forces, and working groups report to the standing committees responsible for policy direction and review, while others are established on an ad hoc basis to assist with specific projects.
