The Bedford County Attorney is appointed by the Bedford County Board of Supervisors. The primary responsibilities of the County Attorney is to provide legal advice for the Board of Supervisors, County Administrator, staff and the many Bedford County Boards, Commissions and Boards on matters relating to Bedford County law, regulations, ordinances and compliance.
The County Attorney is also responsible for advising employees and elected officials in matters of County business, legal matters, resolutions, cases, ordinances, statues and regulations. The County Attorney is also responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, land records, lease documents, policy analysis and much more.
