Just a little Reminder....The Bedford County Rec. Department will close at 12:00 tomorrow November 22nd and will be closed 23rd and 24th for Thanksgiving. We will reopen on November 27th with regular hours 8:30-5:00. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Eat a lot of turkey and be safe!
The Bedford County Parks and Recreation Department offers various day and overnight trips throughout the year for Bedford County residents. The BCPRD has an 18 passenger bus and access to small passenger vans for transportation on county sponsored trips. The BCPRD also sponsors some overnight and day trips with the use of larger charter buses in partnership with travel agencies.

Mabry Mill Thursday, October 19th
Mabry Mill is one of the most photographed sites on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Several hundred thousand travelers visit the Mill each year, a turn of events Ed Mabry probably could not have predicted when he built the Mill more than a century ago. Explore the historic Mabry Mill, perhaps the most iconic structure on the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. See the nearby Matthews Cabin, blacksmith shop and interpretive area.

Shenandoah Caverns/American Celebration on Parade
Shenandoah Caverns has been thrilling visitors for over 90 years. It's the only Virginia cavern with elevator service, making it one of the easiest caverns to tour.
