BEDFORD, Va. — To improve sewer service in the Forest area of Bedford County, the Bedford Regional Water Authority (BRWA) will temporarily close a portion of Cottontown Road (State Route 621) where it crosses Ivy Creek.
Closure Details:
- Location: Between the intersection of Cottontown Road and Ivylea Drive (to the west) and the intersection of Cottontown Road and Saxon Road (to the east)
- Start Date: Monday, July 21
- Anticipated Reopening: Monday, July 28 (weather permitting)
Detour signage will be in place to guide drivers around the work zone.
During the closure, crews will install steel casing and pipe to extend the Ivy Creek sewer line—part of an effort to enhance the area's sewer infrastructure.
