Early Voting for April 21 Special Election Begins March 6

Early, in-person voting for the April 21 special election for a proposed statewide amendment begins Friday, March 6 at the Bedford County Parks & Rec office (1257 County Farm Rd., Bedford).

Voting Hours:

  • Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 11 & Saturday, April 18: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Learn more about the proposed statewide amendment on the Virginia Department of Elections website. At this time, some information explaining the amendment (both digital and printed) is still pending.

Before voting, Bedford County Registrar Barbara Gunter recommends voters reach out to their respective parties for information about the amendment and how it will impact them. Officers of Election, Electoral Board members, and other staff may not explain the amendment to a voter at the polls.
