The meeting of the Board of Supervisors' scheduled for Mon Dec 10 at 7:00pm, with a work session at 5:00pm has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Dec 12th at 7:00pm with the work session at 5:00pm.
The three public hearings as to zoning and subdivision text amendments, originally scheduled for Mon Dec 10 will be heard at the Board's next regularly scheduled meeting which will be on Monday, Jan 14th at 7:00pm.
Public Notice:Please take notice that the Chairman of the Bedford County Board of Supervisors has called a special meeting of the Board beginning at 8:15 am on Wednesday, December 12 and again on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Bedford Central Library, 321 North Bridge Street, Bedford, VA.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold a closed session pursuant to Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1) as to the discussion, consideration, or interviews of prospective candidates for employment; assignment, appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining, or resignation of specific public officers, appointees, or employees of any public body; specifically, to conduct interviews for the County Administrator position.

Bedford County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting for Wednesday, December 26, 2018 has been cancelled
The Bedford County Board of Zoning Appeals (or BZA) is comprised of seven citizens appointed for the seven voting districts in the County. The composition of the Board of Zoning Appeals is established under, Section 15.2-2308 of the Code of Virginia. The powers and duties of the BZA are specifically assigned under Section 15.2-2309 of the Code of Virginia.
Each member is appointed by the Judge of the Circuit Court to serve a term of five years. The Board of Zoning Appeals may hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by any administrative officer in the administration or enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
