This Saturday June 15th is Movies in the Park at Falling Creek Park! The fun starts at 6:30 pm with food, games, bounce houses and giveaways (pictured below). Move starts at Sunset around 8:45 pm.

The Bedford County Parks and Recreation Department (BCPRD) along with our local partners will be offering various recreational and life enhancing programs for Bedford County's over 50 years of age residents. A diverse selection of educational classes will be offered and are designed to improve the quality of life for county residents over 50 years of age. The BCPRD encourages all residents to review what opportunities are available.
If you are 50 years or older and like to socialize and play Bingo, then this is the place for you. The Bedford County Parks and Recreation Department offers Bingo 3 times a month at 3 locations. Forest Recreation Center (2nd Tuesday), Moneta Rescue Squad (3rd Wednesday), and the Bedford Moose Lodge (4th Thursday). Lunch is served at all locations so come and bring your favorite dish to share.This program runs from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Cost is $1.00 per card with a limit of 4 cards per person. Bedford County Parks and Recreation will hold monthly craft classes at the Parks and Recreation office located at 1257 County Farm Rd. in Bedford. Class will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the dates listed below. Please call (540) 586-7682 to pre register. Participants must be registered by the Monday before class. Fee for the class is $5.00 per person per class.

Elderfest will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. and Friday May 3 from 9:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m. If you are interested in being a vendor please contact Parks and Recreation at 586-7682. Space is limited and will be first come first serve. Vendors are asked to participate on both days of the event.
Elderfest is held each year in conjunction with Older Americans Month the first Thursday and Friday in May to celebrate the seniors of Bedford County. Vendors are on hand with valuable information and entertainment is offered both days. Dinner will be provided on Thursday and lunch tickets for Friday can be purchased in advance.
