Statement from Bedford County administration regarding RiverStreet Network's incomplete project area: 

"Bedford County remains committed to expanding reliable high-speed broadband access to underserved residents throughout the County. As many residents are aware, portions of the County’s broadband expansion initiative involving RiverStreet Networks and the West Piedmont Planning District Commission are currently undergoing additional federal and state review processes tied to the evolving BEAD and VATI broadband programs. Approximately 1,200 of the roughly 3,500 planned service locations remain pending final eligibility confirmation and construction scheduling as project areas and funding requirements continue to be refined. While Bedford County continues to work cooperatively with our regional and provider partners, the County does not control the final determinations regarding service eligibility, construction sequencing, or activation timelines.
