Public Notice: The Bedford County Broadband Authority has scheduled a Special Called Meeting on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 5:00 pm in the boardroom in the Bedford County Administration Building, 122 East Main Street, Bedford, Virginia, to authorize County staff to develop and submit the application for the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission grant.

Following the Special Called Meeting the Broadband Authority will adjourn, and the Board of Supervisors will proceed to hold the Budget Work Session already scheduled for that same evening.

Public Notice: Please take notice that the Bedford County Board of Supervisors Personnel Committee will meet on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6:30 pm. in the Administration Meeting Room of the County Administration Building located at 122 East Main Street, Bedford, Virginia. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss new/reclassified position requests.

Welcome! The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department is responsible for the development, management and display of location-based information pertaining to Bedford County and the Town of Bedford.

With this information, GIS staff is able to develop applications, perform simple to complex analyses, and generate customized maps and data products which allow the end user to view important

 information related to an area of interest, and, more importantly, to make better informed decisions.

 Examples of this geographic information includes Land Records, Transportation data, Voting Information, School Locations and Attendance Zones, Zoning and Land Use, and multiple years of Aerial Imagery.  Much of this information is easily accessible to the public with the County's Public GIS Viewer..
